I'm going to. Wisconsin for the weekend to see my friend! I think Vinnie needs a break from her crazy Grammy!
I think my regular. Dose of prednisone had better kick in! I Weined myself down to it today! My eating has been nutso! I need to go back to gluten free. I got really sick to my pouch this evening !
I'm feeling g netter now.
Talk on. I'll check back.
After.
Carla
Good morning and happy Saturday ladies!
I got back from my trip at 8pm last night. A very long day to be sure, but I am very happy to be home. My interviews went well, and I feel very good about that. But now I need to start focusing on preparing for surgery. Though my insurance hasn't approved yet I am going to assume they will, and think positively! Should they approve my surgery will be 4/6, the day after Easter. Not too many weeks away so I am going to get "in the zone" and start my spring cleaning and so forth. It's such a weird position, to be looking for a new job with this surgery pending. I really can't start a new job and then take 3 weeks off unexpectedly so, I am hoping to time this to start a new job after surgery and recovery. But anyway...
My in-laws are coming to visit today. We have a little private apartment for them, so they have their own space when they visit. They are lovely people whom I love like surrogate parents and I honestly enjoy their company. My husband and his sibs are lucky and blessed, as my in-laws are relatively healthy for their ages (mid80's) and are totally independent at this point. Even so, I will be cleaning like a maniac today before they get here. LOL just to be sure I get my workout in, I will jump on the bike for 30 minutes before hand. I haven't been faithful enough with my exercise this week so I need to get back on the horse if you will!
Will check back after I get some exercise and get the house in order! Till then have a wonderful Saturday everyone!
Christine

Hello Christine....I am glad you made it back safely from your trip last night.
Good for you...keep thinking positive about your surgery. It won't be long now.
I am sure things will work out with a new job. It is all a lot to have happening at once. You seem super organized and that alone will help!!
That is so nice that you have a special place for your in-laws to stay when they visit. They sound like wonderful people. Have a great time together!!
Thirty minutes on the bike before you clean...that would make me too tired to clean...LOL!!
Love and many hugs to you....connie d
Good morning Carla and everyone.....
Carla....maneuvering the car seat was always the worst part. Glad you remembered to pack everything Vinnie needed. She must be having such a great time with you!!!
Have a really fun time in Wisconsin with your friend this weekend.
Prednisone works so good but it makes us so hungry day and night!! It is good if you can get down to a lower dose. Sorry you got sick last night. I hope you feel better today.
It is another beautiful day here today!! The sun is out and the temps will be in the 60s. I will be walking outside!!!
I ended up doing more then I should have yesterday so today will be a quieter day!!
Enjoy your day!!!
Prayers for our sweet OFF Family and their families.
Lots of love and oodles of hugs to all....connie d
Good Morning Carla and OFF,
Carla, enjoy your trip to Wisconsin. Haven't been there yet.
Christine, good luck with the insurance approval. I got mine in about six weeks, once the doc cleared me. That was back in 2006.
I started using Thrive this morning. Too soon to tell, coz I just finished my shake. It's full of vitamins, that's a plus. Now, I need to buy a scale. Haven't owned one in ages.
I'm doing linens today, and changing from flannel sheets to regular sheets. Yahoo!. Baseball on my TV, snow melting, King Kone open. I love Spring. (King Kone is an ice cream stand here that sells no sugar added, fat free frozen yogurt that tastes just like ice cream. It's a guilt free indulgence. The stand looks like a giant ice cream cone, and has a drive thru. Colleen lived across the street from there when she first moved here.
I better get back to work in my bedroom. Lots to do.
Hugs and Prayers, especially for Vickie and Butch.
Love,
Trish

Hello Trish....I am hoping to start the Thrive tomorrow. Let me know how you are doing with it.
You are changing sheets from flannel today. I think it is safe to say you won't need them anymore until next winter. I have never slept well on flannel sheets. I get to warm when I sleep. I like the feel of smooth sheets. My daughter, Jamie and her family love flannel sheets!!
King Kone would be a wonderful treat...I love frozen yogurt. I can't eat much of it but I can have some!!
I hope you get done with your bedroom so you can get outside for a bit today. That is if it is as warm there as it is here.
Love you...hugs.....connie d
Hi Carla and my OFF family:
Just a quick hello before I start to get ready for work. I think the rain has stopped but it's still a little cloudy. And my body still hurts. Saturday's always a long night anyway with extra pages. Sports editor likes to squeeze too many stories on the pages, too.
Lots of basketball right now. I'm watching Kentucky-Auburn because it's important to our area. Not much of a game. I need to get ready soon.
I love flannel sheets, Trish. Still have mine on. It was still cold enough Wednesday when I did sheets so I didn't change them. Maybe I'll switch this week as it is getting warmer now.
Well, time to get into the shower and get ready for work. See ya later.
Hello sistas!
We are home. Finally. The traffic on I10 was nuts. I think it's because of Spring Break.
I will post more details later, but Butch did get to have the chemo and he felt better almost immediately. We are both feeling quite a bit more hopeful now.
I'm beat and I'm headed to the couch. My SIL gave me a dozen or more home decorating magazines that she was going to recycle. Hooray! I can browse through them and get ideas for decorating our new home. Sounds like a good way to spend the rest of the afternoon to me.
I'll read all the posts later. Right now I just need to crash. I've missed all of you!
Love you all!
Hello Vickie...I am so glad to see your post on OFF. You are always so missed. I am glad you are home again!
I will keep praying that the chemo continues to work well for Butch!! I know when he feels better so do you!!
I hope you are resting...I am sure just laying on the couch feels great!
I will check in later to see who else posts.
Love to you and bunches of hugs too.....connie d
